RTCSA 2018 Camera-ready Submission Instruction

Overview and requirements

  • Due: 
    • Full paper / short paper: Camera-ready submission is due June 15, 2018.
    • Demo / Poster: Camera-ready submission is due June 22, 2018.
  • Format: Check Section 1. Please make sure if your paper follows our format requirements.
  • Number of pages:
    • Full papers
      • Max. 10 pages (excluding bibliography and acknowledgements)
        * For the bibliography and acknowledgments at no charge, additional pages are permitted
      • Extra (Body) pages allowed: Max. 2 pages
        • You can buy max 2 extra pages for the paper body text.
        • Price: JPY 22,000 regardless of the number of extra pages
          (added to your registration fee)
    • Short papers
      • Max. 6 pages (excluding bibliography and acknowledgements)
        * For the bibliography and acknowledgments at no charge, additional pages are permitted
      • Extra (Body) pages allowed:  none
    • Poster / Demo
      • Max. 2 pages (INCLUDING bibliography and acknowledgements)
      • Extra (Body) pages allowed: none
  • Submission: See Section 2 .You will use CPS (Conference Publishing Services) provided by IEEE Computer Society.
  • Presentation at the conference: All the accepted papers, including full papers and short papers, must be presented by the authors in the conference. Failure to do so will result in automatic withdrawal of your paper from the conference proceedings, and will not be included in IEEE Xplore or indexed by EI.
  • Author’s registration to the conference:
    • Each accepted conference paper (regular or short paper) must make a full conference registration to be included in the conference proceedings (due June 30 2018).
    • One registration covers only one paper.

1. Preparing Your Paper Format

  • Your final papers MUST be formatted to Manuscript Formatting Guidelines provided below.
  • It is highly recommended that you proofread and check the layout of your paper BEFORE submitting it to IEEE’s PDF checking service (PDF eXpress™) (describe later)
    • US Letter (8.5in x 11in) page format, two-column, single-space, 10pt.
    • Formatting instructions: PDF | Word DOC | LaTeX
  • Do not add page numbers.

2. Submission Process on CPS

After you prepare and check your final paper content, go through this process and submit your PDF.

2.1 Registration to CPS Online

2.2 “Preparation and Submission Information” screen (on CPS)

  • Carefully read the instructions on the screen, including “Your production editor”, “Paper specification”, “Formatting your paper”, and “Paper validation”
  • On “Paper validation”, we recommend “I would like to upload my PDF to PDF eXpress® for validation.”

2.3 Validate your PDF file through IEEE PDF eXpress(R)

  • When you click “I would like to upload my PDF to PDF eXpress® for validation.”, you can go to IEEE PDF eXpress(R) by clicking its logo image.
  • Follow the instruction on the screen and validate your paper PDF file.

2.4 ”Copyright Release” screen (on CPS)

  • Following the instruction on the screen, please complete the form.
  • By pushing “Submit Copyright” button after entering “Author Full Name”, “Author Email”, and “Paper Title”. You will be navigated to a different web page, “IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF)”.
  • On eCF, please follow the instruction and complete the copyright release form.
  • Note that this step must be completed for your paper to be included in the RTCSA 2018 publication. Also, this copyright release form MUST be COMPLETED when you are submitting your paper.

2.5 ” Paper Details” screen (on CPS)

  • Probably after completing the copyright release process on eCF, please come back to the CPS window and go to the next “Paper Details” screen.
  • Input the paper detail information.
  • Note: For “Paper ID”, please input your paper ID indicated in the Subject field of notification acceptance email. (e.g., “RTCSA2018 notification for paper $ID$” )

2.6 “Add Authors” screen (on CPS)

  • Please add all of your co-authors on this screen.

2.7 “Final Paper PDF File Submission” screen (on CPS)

  • Please upload your validated PDF file of your final submission.
  • Then, you’re done for the final paper submission! Very soon, you should get confirmation email from cps@computer.org about your submission.
